Ministries
Strengthening Beliefs, Building Connections.
EVANGELISM MINISTRY
The Evangelism Ministry is the evangelistic wing of the church. It draws its membership from among members of the church with no restrictions on gender or age. The Evangelism Ministry has the primary responsibility of training members for soul winning and evangelistic activities, raising new converts and preparing them for church membership.
Women’s Ministry
The Women’s Ministry is dedicated to the female members of the church. Every woman in the church aged sixteen years and above is automatically part of this ministry. The primary goals of the ministry include:
• Promoting the development of strong prayer habits among women.
• Enhancing their spiritual and familial roles to excel as supportive wives and nurturing mothers.
• Serving as positive role models as Christian women within society.
• Offering prayers for the church and its leadership.
Men’s Ministry
The Men’s Ministry, known as the Pentecost Men’s Ministry (PEMEM), is a division of The Church of Pentecost, established by the International Executive Council in 1997. It is designed to cater to the needs of all men within the church and provide a platform for gathering and teaching them in various aspects of Christian life. The ministry hosts seminars, workshops, lectures, and symposia covering a wide range of topics, including marriage enrichment, husbands’ roles at home, childcare and education, business management, leadership and responsibilities both in the Church and society, current affairs on national and international levels, as well as the basics of domestic law and other specialized ministries tailored for men.
Children Ministry
The Children’s Ministry is dedicated to addressing the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of the church’s young members. Specifically tailored Bible lessons are provided by ministry leaders during Sunday school sessions on Sunday mornings. Children under the age of thirteen are encouraged to participate in this ministry. The primary objective of the Children’s Ministry is to instill biblical teachings in the youth, guided by the principle: “Train up the children in the way of the Lord so that when they are old, they will not depart from it.” The ultimate mission is to spread the gospel worldwide and bring others to Christ.
Youth Ministry
The Youth ministry caters to the spiritual requirements of individuals aged thirteen to nineteen (13-19) years old. The church acknowledges the youth as prospective leaders of both the church and society. Consequently, it’s crucial for them to be firmly rooted in serving the Lord.
Home and Urban Missions (HUM)
The Church of Pentecost is a mission-minded church which, over the years, has sought to reach out to all classes of people across many countries in the world. The Home and Urban Missions is a ministry of the COP with the goal of reaching out to all. The intention is to reach “all people” with the message of Christ.
MINISTRY TO PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES (MPWDs)
The MPWDs seeks to build a strong ministry to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) through effective evangelism and discipleship, as well as create an enabling environment to promote their spiritual, emotional and personal growth in order to impact the church, their communities, and nations.
